So last night I had my very first date here in the windy city. I met this guy Saturday night while out and one of my favorite little dive bars...we talked and decided a date might be in order, and so it happened. I met him at this cute and DELICIOUS little eatery in the ultra-hip Wicker Park and we had dinner. It was fun, he is very personable and a talker, at the end of the night my checks hurt from smiling to thats a good thing I guess. After dinner we went to get a drink...he might have been trying to get me drunk a little because we got martinis...and they were free flowing. I didnt get drunk too much though, I was good and controlled. It was a good time though, if he calls I would probably go out with him again...he might be a little too fast for me, but hey mom thought that about dad! He is older then me too, so that might be a negative...he's 31 and a high school biology teacher, as well as freshman girls soccer coach. So anyways that was my first date. I was really nervous but it went well.
Today is my birthday!!! I had to work late, not too late, but later then I would have liked, and now I am off to meet some of the girls for a delicious birthday dinner and margaritas! Thank you for all the birthday wishes! Oh yeah, my buddy Adam made me delicious cupcakes in the ICECREAM CONES like back in the day! Yum!

Detroit Sucks

So, I was ssssuuuupposed to go visit my mom and dad this weekend in Detroit but the airport in the Dirty D was shut down because of a little dusting of snow...lame-o. So that was disapointing, but I did get to have brunch with Aunt Margy, Marc and Abigail. It was fun and good to see Aunt Margy. Not too much going on here...thats why I am a lame blogger. Ashley and Daren are supposed to be coming this weekend to visit so there will be a little blog on that I am sure.

MY NEW TANNING AND BLEACHING REGIMEN

I recently decided just because I live somewhere very similar to Antartica doesnt mean I have to look like a snowdweller. A few days ago I tried mystic tan for the first time. For those of you who are unfamiliar with mystic tan it is pretty much like mmmm spray paint. You step into a box, press a button and it sprays a pivoting mist onto your body...and magically you are summer sun kissed. I am not going to lie, my hands and feet are a little orange but they give you a lotion barrier to put on them so next time I will put more. I would recommend it, no UV rays. This picture is NOT what I look like...yet, but its a possibility. Plus I am whitening my teeth. Sooooo I will blend in when I venture to Cali and Tampa.

Note Worthy

I found some remarkable chairs that I just wanted to really talk about. All three of these chairs are by designer Phillipe Stark and are exquisite in my opinion. The top and bottom chairs are Louis XVI chairs redone with a completely modern interperation. They are amazing and I would looove to have them at my dining room table. The middle chair there is amazingly interesting to me aswell. I dont feel like I have ever seen anything like it. Just imagine the chairs at dining room tables with silvers and golds and light royal colors. Furniture pieces like these are why I am an interior designer and love what I do. Inspiring.
that and Nicole and I are getting tattoos when I visit her for the weekend in April... :)

A Gay Night Out

This saturday started off with a good old disco nap, which I discovered is what we term "naps beforing going out to party." Then Abi, Beth and myself meet our ever so fantastic gay hilarious side kick co-worker for dinner at a cute little mexican joint that has delicious margarita pitchers. So we began our night with enchiladas, laughs, and tequila. We went to a friend of a friends little house party which turned out to be young working adults who still have yet to leave their sorority and frat college days. So we decided letssssss go dancing, and that we did. For hours, at a mostly gay dance club. It was so much fun, and the disco-y tech music was amazing. Girls just want to have fun but let me tell you those gay boys just want to have fun tooooo.
